Canada wide drug bust nets 9 people from Winnipeg

As a result of a lengthy investigation by members of the Winnipeg Police Service Organized Crime Unit, 9 warrants were executed in and around the City of Winnipeg as well as Montreal, Quebec and Langley, British Columbia.

The focus of this investigation involved individuals allegedly engaged in multi-kilogram cocaine trafficking.

Due to the efforts of numerous officers within the Winnipeg Police Service, including the RCMP and Canine Unit from the Winkler Police Service, warrants were executed without incident. The locations are as follows:

1) 1100 block of Atlantic Avenue
2) First 100 block of Leveque Street
3) 300 block of Templeton Avenue
4) 2400 block of Main Street
5) 1000 block of Strathcona Street
6) St Andrews, Manitoba
7) First 100 block of Noble Avenue
8) First 100 block of Donwood Drive
9) 500 block of Sargent Avenue

The following individuals have been arrested and charged with numerous drug related offences:

• Cirilio Bautista LOPEZ, 41 years
• Kosmas DRITSAS, 39 years
• Orazio Pasquale SINISI, 35 years
• Sandy Sousa SINISI, 35 years
• 20 year old female
• Claudia Margarita MILLA-HERNANDEZ, 39 years
• Ronald Jeffery KING, 41 years
• George DRITSAS, 65 years
• 24 year old female

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the following items have been seized by police:

* 20 lbs. Cannabis Sativa (Hash)
* 15 lbs. Cannabis Marihuana
* Approximately $500,000.000 Canadian currency
* Approximately $40,000.00 worth of jewellery
* Several automobiles

The investigation is continuing.
