Two people arrested by police following a drug seizure, Brantville, N.B

On Thursday, September 23, 2010, the Acadian Peninsula RCMP Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Bathurst Police Dog Unit as well as police officers from Tracadie-Sheila and Neguac, executed a search warrant in a residence in Brantville, N.B.

During the search, police seized a large quantity of drugs believed to be cocaine, ecstacy, methamphetamine and marijuana. The police also seized money. A 32-year-old man and a 28- year-old woman from the Brantville area were arrested on scene and later released.

They will appear in Tracadie-Sheila Provincial Court on December 8, 2010, to face several charges related to this drug seizure.

The investigation is ongoing.
