On September 25, 2010 at 3:30 am, District 4 Southeast RCMP responded to a 911 call of shots being fired at a person near a residence on chemin Acadie in Cap Pelé, N.B.

Investigators subsequently located and arrested a man from Cap-Pelé without incident. A search warrant was executed at the residence where the incident was reported to have happened. No one was injured.

As a result of the search warrant, a sawed off rifle, ammunition, a quantity of dried marijuana, marijuana plants and illegal tobacco were seized.

Steven Losier, a 30-year-old man from Cap-Pelé has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unlawfully pointing a firearm and death threats. He appeared in court on Monday afternoon for a bail hearing. He waived his right to a bail hearing and remains in custody. He will be returning to court on October 1, 2010 at 9:30 am to face charges.
