As a result of a news release on Sept. 23, 2010, Emery Dean Cardinal has turned himself in to police.
EPS Homicide Detectives had arrest warrants for Cardinal for second degree murder and possession of a weapon in connection with the homicide of Andrew McPherson, which occurred on Sept. 7, 2010.
Cardinal turned himself in to the RCMP detachment in Fort McMurray on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 and was arrested without incident. He will be brought back to Edmonton next week.
