Toronto man Fidai Nasir charged in connection to a luring investigation

The Toronto Police Service has been conducting an investigation of a man wanted in the Luring of two girls.

It is alleged that:

– on Monday, April 7, 2014, a girl, 16, was standing on the sidewalk in the Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street area

– the man drove up to the girl

– he engaged her in conversation, attempting to get her to come for a ride

– the girl refused and ran away, alerting an adult, who called police

It is further alleged that;

– on Saturday, April 12, 2014, a girl, 13, was walking along the sidewalk in the Coxwell Avenue and Danforth Avenue area

– the man drove up alongside her

– he tried to convince her to get in the car with him

– the girl ran to a nearby house and alerted an adult, who called police

– the man was driving a 2009 brown, four-door Nissan car, bearing the licence plate BTBZ 844.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2014, Fidai Nasir, 52, of Toronto, was arrested. He faces the following charges:

1) Criminal Harassment (two counts)

On Wednesday, April 15, 2014, he appeared in court at College Park, court room 501, 10 a.m.
