District 5 RCMP are investigating a fatal, single vehicle crash occurred on Highway 126 near Harcourt, N.B.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 pm on October 8, 2010, when a northbound passenger vehicle lost control and went off the road. The driver, a 43-year-old man from Targettville, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors. The name of the victim is not being released at this time.

An RCMP re-constructionist was on scene investigating the collision.

  1. Sad to see another person so young die on the dreadful Route 126 Kent County,

    I live on this road and the speed limit is 90kmph ….not 140kmph as alot do,
    This road has a lot of Moose at night,
    \People please please slow down,
    We love our tiny Villages and Community’s out this way, Please dont let us see NO more road carnage.
