Woman murdered in Sudbury

Greater Sudbury Police officers are currently at a residence on Ontario Street in Sudbury after a 9-1-1 call for ambulance was received at approximately 0030 hours this morning. When officers arrived on scene they discovered a female who had suffered multiple stab wounds.

Also located next to the female victim was a male who was non-responsive. Both parties were rushed to Sudbury Hospital; however, the female victim succumbed to her injuries. The male party is still being treated and remains in police custody.

The scene is being held by police and the investigation is continuing. No names are being released at this time pending notification of family.
