The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 9-year-old girl, who was reported missing to police this morning

Melanie Henckel was last seen at her place of residence in the area of 121 Avenue and 95 Street, at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Missing Persons Unit, Downtown Division, Northeast Division and search managers are involved in the investigation.  

Henckel is 4’ tall, 60 lbs., with long brown hair and brown eyes.  It’s believed she was last wearing jersey-type pyjama pants that are dark purple with stars and shapes, and a purple short sleeve shirt. It’s unknown if she’s wearing shoes.
