Christo Alliso-Richards and Youssouf Abdi-Djama charged for robbing a Hamilton bank

Three Hamilton males have been charged with robbery after they were arrested by uniform patrol officers.

On Friday, October 15th, 2010 at approximately 3:30 p.m., two male suspects entered the Royal Bank located at 1845 Main St. W. approached the teller and passed a note indicating a robbery. One of the suspects revealed what was described as a handgun tucked down the front of his pants. The clerk complied with the demand for cash and the suspects fled on foot in a northbound direction.

Shortly after the robbery took place, a Hamilton Police Service Division Three patrol officer was dispatched to the Dundas area to check for a suspect vehicle involved in a robbery that occurred in Niagara Falls area earlier in the day. The suspect vehicle was a grey Ford Freestar. The officer was headed to check for the suspect vehicle and was driving eastbound on Wilson St. near Lower Lions Club Rd. when the suspect vehicle drove past him. The officer initiated a traffic stop and placed all three people in the vehicle under arrest. The males arrested were later identified as the suspects involved in the robbery that happened at the Royal Bank on Main St. W. The firearm, a pellet gun, alleged to be used in the robbery was found inside the vehicle and was seized by police. All three males were held for a bail hearing.
