On July 10th at 9:30 p.m., a Qualicum Beach resident reported her husband, 70 year old, Iain Hollier was missing. Hollier left his home (600 Block of Alder Street, Qualicum Beach) on foot to go on his nightly walk at 7:30 p.m., when he did not return, his wife became concerned and called police.

Hollier has advanced level dementia and may be very disorientated. He does not have access to a vehicle. Hollier was last seen wearing off white pants, short sleeved shirt with white, pale blue, and reddish stripes and wearing a faded brown baseball cap with a happy face on it. Hollier is 5’9″, 195 lbs, Caucasian, and has a white beard with moustache. Hollier is physically fit and capable of walking a significant distance. Of note, the top half of Hollier’s thumb is missing from a prior injury.
