The Hamilton Police Service Break, Enter, Auto theft and Robbery (BEAR) Unit arrested and charged a man wanted for an east Hamilton bank robbery.

On October 9th, 2010, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a lone male entered the CIBC bank located on 393 Barton St. E. in Stoney Creek. The male approached a teller and demanded money indicating that he had a gun. The male was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank in a Hamilton Cab. From the video surveillance cameras, the accused was identified.

On October 19th, 2010 the suspect was located on King St. in Stoney Creek by BEAR investigators. He was arrested without incident. He is expected to appear in court today.
