On October 19, 2010, members of the Acadian Peninsula RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence located on Basque Street in Tracadie-Sheila. Approximately 146 grams of marijuana were seized, enough to produce over 300 marijuana cigarettes.

Following the search, Réjean Gauvin, 32 years old, of Tracadie-Sheila was arrested and charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Réjean Gauvin was remanded into custody and will appear in Provincial Court in Tracadie-Sheila on Friday, October 22 for his bail hearing.
