Durham Regional Police are trying to locate a male who has been missing from Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences since yesterday.

Richard Landry, age 46, was last seen yesterday at 1 p.m. walking away from the facility located at 700 Gordon Street in Whitby. Not returning to the hospital is unusual for LANDRY.

He is described as a male, white, 5’8” tall, about 160 lbs. with hazel eyes, short grey/brown hair and a moustache. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray T-shirt, brown shoes and was carrying a back pack. A photo is attached.

Landry requires medication and the longer he goes without it, he may be at risk of self-harm or may display assaultive behaviour towards others.

Update: The 46-year-old male missing from Ontario Shores in Whitby has been found, safe and sound, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He will be returned to Ontario Shores in the coming days.
