Authorities were reported about at least three people being injured by shootings, and another struck by a vehicle in overnight on Monday. Witnesses confirm that shots were first fired in Liberty Village, in the area of King and Dufferin Sts., at around 3:30 a.m.

EMS reportedly received a call for a pedestrian struck at around 3:30 a.m., and found a woman who was shot in the foot. Soon afterwards, EMS was called to rescue a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. Consequently, both victims were shifted to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police is still investigating the shooting on Monday morning and remains unclear about how the third person was injured. Additionally, another woman was found run over by a vehicle after fleeing the scene and was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Resident of a condo overlooking Lamport Stadium, Kristy Stratton, shared that “there must have been over ten gunshots. It was just like, ‘pop, pop, pop.’” Stratton rushed to her balcony and witnessed chaos erupt in the parking lot near the stadium. She explained that “all of a sudden, you just saw tons of cars trying to get out, fleeing the area, lots of screams — just people running.” According to Stratton, she’s lived in Liberty Village for eight years and has never come across anything like this, adding that “it’s kind of unnerving” and “I’m glad I’m in my condo, and wasn’t out there.”
