Moncton man Justin Bourque pleads guilty to first degree murder

The 24-year-old Moncton man charged with killing three RCMP officers and wounding two others in June 2014 appeared in Moncton court on August 8. During his court appearance, Justin Bourque pleaded guilty to three counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

On June 4, 2014, Justin Bourque shot and killed Cst. Doug Larche, Cst. Dave Ross and Cst. Fabrice Gevaudan in a residential neighbourhood in the north end of Moncton. Cst. Eric Dubois and Cst. Darlene Goguen were also wounded by Bourque during the incident.

Bourque is scheduled to return to court on October 27, 2014.
