Suspect John Jay Anderson arrested in connection to a home invasion and abduction incident in Moncton

Codiac Regional RCMP have made an arrest in a case of home invasion and abduction which occurred in Moncton.

Shortly before 4 p.m. on August 26, 2014, Codiac RCMP were advised that a man had broken into a house on McLaughlin Drive and would have taken an 18-year-old woman against her will. The man and the woman were known to each other.

21-year-old John Jay Anderson was arrested without incident around 11:45 on August 28, 2014 in Moncton. A warrant had been issued for his arrest. He will be appearing in court to answer to charges relating to this incident.

Codiac RCMP are continuing their investigation.
