Most recently signed candidate for Toronto’s mayoral position, Doug Ford, has confirmed that the doctors are expected to provide an update on his brothers’ health on Wednesday afternoon. It has been four days since Doug Ford entered the race for mayoral position but he has not yet planed any campaign appearances. Instead, Mr. Ford claims to be focused on Mayor Rob Ford, who remains in hospital with an abdominal tumour.

According to the doctors, they are still waiting on results of a biopsy on the mayor’s tumour. Even though Ford has failed to make any public appearances since Friday, or attended any of the mayoral debates over the weekend or on Monday, he alleged auspiciously that “you’ll be hearing from me,” as “I just want to get over this little hump with Rob.” Mr. Ford refrained from commenting on a media report that alleged that the mayor has undergone a biopsy on his lungs. He said that “I’d rather just leave it to the doctors.”

Whereas on the other hand, Doug Ford’s campaign spokesman, Jeff Silverstein, also declined to discuss the mayor’s health and stated that “you can appreciate the situation is very unusual.” He alleged that “at this moment, we don’t have anything to share with you.” Meanwhile, Mr. Ford reiterated that “I’ll be out there, I promise you. We’ve got five weeks and we’re going to be going hard,” adding that “I just want to get over this little hurdle, and we’re going full steam ahead as we speak right now.”
