Officers from 21 Division’s Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating a shooting incident that has left a local man in hospital.

On Monday, November 8, 2010, at approximately 1:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots being fired on Summer Mist Court. On arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, a 33 year-old Brampton resident, was subsequently transported to a local hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The suspect, who fled the scene on foot, was described as a male, black, 6 feet tall, 30-35 years old and with a slim build. He was seen wearing a black leather jacket, a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He was last seen fleeing the area, towards Sunny Meadow Boulevard.
