Benjamin Smyth 35 years of age, of Windsor was sentenced in court today to 5 years in prison. Smyth was arrested by Windsor Police in March 2014 after a lengthy investigation involving 2 adult victims. He has been in custody since the time of his arrest.
The victims were assaulted in August and November 2013. Windsor Police remained committed to the investigation leading to the arrest of Smyth. Police obtained DNA evidence from both victims in each of the cases. In order to protect the identity of the victims, police are not releasing any additional information.
