More charges laid against Gerald Graham Garrity in Hamilton

In July, The Hamilton Police Service issued a warrant for the arrest of Gerald Graham GARRITY, 54 years, for multiple sexual offence based incidents.

He was located and arrested at a remote campsite in the West Nipissing area.

The Hamilton Police Service Sexual Assault Unit had initiated an investigation after the accused man contacted the daughter of the female victim. The female victim contacted police and disclosed offences dating back between 1980 and 1991 when she was under the age of 16 years.

Gerald Graham GARRITY of Hamilton was facing charges of: Sexual Assault x 15, Sexual Interference x 9, Sexual Exploitation x 9, Guardian Procuring Sexual Activity x 9, Invitation to Sexual Touching x 7, Exposure to person under 16 x 8, Indecent Assault on a Female x 2, Acts of Gross Indecency x 1 and Corrupting Child x 1.

The Hamilton Police Service Child Abuse Branch was also investigating an incident involving the same accused and a young person under the age of 16 years.

The Hamilton Police Service continued to investigate and investigators believed there were more victims who had not contacted police.

UPDATE:

Through the assistance of the Media and the strength and courage of the survivors, additional charges have been laid against Gerald Graham GARRITY.

He is now facing the total one hundred and ten (110) sexually based charges.
