The two bodies found in an apartment on MacAleese Avenue on November 9, 2014 have been identified. The men have been identified as being a 29-year old man and a 36-year-old man, both from Moncton.

On November 10, 2014, autopsies were performed to determine the cause of their deaths and the RCMP is awaiting results.

The bodies of the two men were discovered after RCMP officers went to the apartment looking for the 29-year-old man who had been reported missing on November 7, 2014. While he did not live there, he was known to visit this apartment. When the officers knocked at the door, there was no answer. They noticed an odour coming from inside the apartment and believed something was wrong. After gaining entry into the apartment, they discovered the two men deceased inside.

Codiac Major Crime investigators and Forensic Identification experts were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. The cause of their deaths remains under investigation. Foul play has not been ruled out. The names of the two men are not being released at this time pending notification of their families.
