Value Village employees robbed during bank deposit in Vaughan

The York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending a suspect wanted in connection with a deposit robbery in the City of Vaughan.

On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at approximately 12:45 p.m., two Value Village employees attended the Scotia Bank located at 800 Steeles Avenue West to make a deposit. The victims parked their vehicle near the front doors of the bank. When the 44-year-old female employee exited the vehicle, a lone suspect, armed with a knife approached the victim and demanded money. The suspect grabbed the deposit bag containing the deposit money and a personal purse the victim was holding.

The suspect was last seen walking southbound towards Steeles Avenue West.

There were no injuries during this incident

The suspect is described as:

• Male, black
• Wearing baggy, dark jeans, a heavy, large dark coat with a fur collar pulled up over his head.
