York police search for missing Aurora man Donald Smith and woman Alida Reiners

Alida ReindersYork Regional Police is seeking public assistance in locating an 86-year-old woman and an 84-year-old man from the Town of Aurora.

On November 23, 2014, at 4:50 p.m., Alida Reinders and Donald Smith were seen leaving their residence on Hollandview Trail in a vehicle with plans to go out for dinner. At approximately 1:30 a.m. the couple stopped at a gas station in the Port Perry area and had been given directions to Richmond Hill. They have not returned home and have not contacted friends or family members.

Police and family are concerned for their well-being.

She is described as:

– Female, white

– 86 years

– 5’2”

– Grey hair

– Wearing a red sweater with a white blouse and grey dress pants

Donald SmithHe is described as:

– Male, white

– 84 years

– 5’6”

– Grey hair

– Wearing a grey Tilly hat, a light blue sweater and dark pants

The vehicle the couple was seen leaving in is a 2011 maroon four-door Toyota Scion with the Ontario license plate BMTE191

The investigation is ongoing.
