New information has come to light regarding the infamous former Liberal MPs’ sexual assault allegations made by two female New Democrat MPs as one of them has finally decided to discuss the matter, though still anonymously. The women discussed the allegations that made Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau suspend two sitting members of Parliament, namely Massimo Pacetti and Scott Andrews, from the Liberal caucus earlier in the month.

The women confirmed to have complained directly to Trudeau in October, which followed by a confidential meeting among both women, Liberal whip Judy Foote and NDP whip Nycole Turmel. Thereafter, Trudeau announced to have suspended the two men and barred them from running for the party in the next election, pending an investigation, despite discussing the nature of the allegations. Both men, Pacetti and Andrews, have denied any wrongdoing while both women have chosen to remain unnamed.

The women who finally decided to speak out this week, detailed an incident with Pacetti in March. She explained that it was in a downtown Ottawa hotel room, where Pacetti asked her to join him for a drink. She said “I was sitting on the chair and he was sitting on the bed,” when he allegedly told her to get on the bed with him. She alleged that “I just go into the toilet trying to think what to do or what I could do to just leave. But I did not have time because when I passed the side of the bed, he grabbed me.” According to the woman, she encountered “sex without explicit consent,” though she failed elaborate exact implications of the allegation.
