York police investigate regarding the murder of a Markham woman at a residence on Norbury Drive

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are asking witnesses to come forward following the discovery of a female out front of a residence in Markham.

On Friday, November 28, 2014, shortly after 6 a.m., officers were called to a residence on Norbury Drive for an injured female lying out front of a residence. Officers located the female in critical condition with obvious signs of trauma. The female was transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The victim has been identified as a 28-year-old female from the City of Markham, but her name will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
