Human remains found on Nov. 12 along the North Saskatchewan River near Elk Point have been identified by the medical examiner as those of 47-year-old Melanie Jerome who was reported missing on July 16.

Officers in the Missing Persons Unit have notified family members. Foul play is not suspected at this time.

  1. It baffles my mind that foul play was not ruled out. She left her home in the north end after an arguement with her husband days later her vehicle was found on the other scomment_IDe of edmonton…. and months later her remains are 2 hours north east of where her vehicle was recovered. It just so happens that the river is far from millwoods and i seriously cant see a woman with 4 children committing suiccomment_IDe without even leaving a note…. wtf is wrong with the RCMP
