A 19-year-old Riverview man has been charged with four counts of invitation to sexual touching and four counts of making arrangements to commit a sexual offence on a child following an investigation by the Codiac Regional RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS). The offences, which targeted teenage boys under the age of 16, are alleged to have occurred in the Greater Moncton area between April and September 2014. On October 10, 2014, GIS investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Riverview resulting in the seizure of computers and a cellular phone. The accused wasarrested and released on conditions at that time.

Matthew Mitton appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on December 12, 2014 to face charges. He is scheduled to appear back in court on January 21, 2015 to enter a plea.
