Codiac RCMP is warning the public about a snow removal scam that has been reported in the Greater Moncton area. Victims respond to online ads offering snow removal services from a variety of fraudulent companies. Victims are told that in order to secure the service, they must sign a contract . A man then comes to their home to deliver the contract, and advises them payment is cash-only. Services are then never received.

The fraudulent ads have been posted using a variety of names including "Atlantic Driveways" and "Brunswick Snow Removal". The suspect has also used a variety of aliases when picking up the payments including Fitzpatrick, Faulkner, McAllister and McCain.

The RCMP would like to remind the public to be wary of purchasing cash-only services from companies with which they aren’t familiar.
