Edmonton Police Service Vice Section detectives have charged one male and two females in relation to the operation of a bawdy house in the MacEwan community in southwest Edmonton.

The investigation began about five months ago after officers received calls from concerned members of the community. The investigation culminated in a search warrant conducted on the home located on the 400 block of 119 Street on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

“Once again we received information from concerned members of the community and we acted on that information,” says Vice Section Staff Sergeant John Fiorilli. “This is a direct result of people paying attention to what’s going on in their community and contacting police when they feel something is not right.”

The following individuals have been charged with keeping a bawdy house, living off the avails of prostitution, possession of the proceeds of crime: Paul Ngai, 47, of Edmonton; Mik Young Park, 35, of Vancouver; and Shuk Fair Yu, 39, of Vancouver.
