A young couple seriously injured in a house fire at a townhouse at Northwoods Village, i.e. in the area of 152 Avenue and 114 Street, earlier this week have passed away in the hospital. 26-year-old Roseann Deleeuw and 28-year-old Jeremy Grambo have left behind two young boys, aged four and eight-months-old. Deleeuw’s sister, Kayla Walker, mentioned in her remarks that “we don’t really know where we go from here,” adding that “it’s kind of one of those things where you take it minute by minute.”

The fire broke out at around 3 a.m. on Sunday, when fire crews responded after a call was made by their neighbor. Edmonton fire chief, Ken Block, confirmed that Deleeuwand and Grambo were found in the living room and “they were in cardiac arrest, so our crews removed them and initiated CPR.” Block explained on Wednesday afternoon that the man and woman were taken to hospital in serious condition.

According to Deleeuw’s sisters, Kayla and Jamie Walker, they learned of their sister’s death on Monday. Kayla alleged on Wednesday afternoon that “she was amazing. She was a lot of fun. Everybody adored her. She was the silliest person,” adding that “she’s a very popular, loved girl.” It was revealed that Deleeuw and Grambo had been together for about two-and-a-half years. Jamie said that “they were hilarious together. They could really crack you up,” adding that “they would drop anything for anybody.” Whereas remembering Grambo, Kayla alleged that “He loved Rozy and those two were inseparable.”
