Windsor Police have arrested a man in connection with a robbery of a convenience store which occurred yesterday afternoon in the city’s near downtown. At 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday November 23, 2010, uniformed officers responded to a robbery at a convenience store located at 1204 Howard Ave. The suspect robbed the clerk of a quantity of cash and fled the store on foot but not before he was captured on the store surveillance video. The Windsor Police Service released photo images of the suspect during the robbery yesterday afternoon.

WPS Investigators viewed the images of the suspect and were able to identify the man depicted on the video as a result of a number of past contacts with this individual. At 9:30 a.m. of today’s date, Investigators attended the suspect’s residence located in the 1100 block of Josephine Ave. in the City of Windsor and arrested the suspect without incident.

David ENNIS – 30 years of Windsor is charged with one count of Robbery.
