During the early morning hours on Wednesday November 24, 2010 Durham Regional Police officers working out of the Central West Division arrested a male responsible for several thefts from automobiles as well as a stolen vehicle in north Whitby.

A majority of the stolen property has been recovered and we anticipate more items will be recovered (including the goalie mask) as officers continue to work diligently on the case. The stolen motor vehicle has also been recovered.

Stelious SALAORAS, age 31, of Aster Cr., Whitby has been charged with: Theft Under $5,000 x2; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2: and Theft of Motor Vehicle Over $5,000.

The Durham Regional Police Service would like to thank the citizens of Brooklin for their cooperation during the investigation of these thefts.
