Hamilton Police have arrested and charged a Hamilton man with robbery after robbing a clerk at a Hamilton Mountain gas station.

On Sunday, November 28th, 2010 at approximately 1:45 a.m. it is alleged that a male suspect, with his face masked with a bandana, entered the Esso gas station at 528 Mohawk Rd. E. and demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk complied with the demand and the suspect then fled the store on foot.

A witness watched as the suspect fled from the station and discarded a knife before entering the apartment building at 500 Mohawk Rd. E. Hamilton Police were called and subsequently located and arrested the suspect inside an apartment in the building. Hamilton Police recovered the money and knife used in the robbery.
