The latest “24 SEVEN” video posted on Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s YouTube page is somewhat out of the ordinary videos posted every week regarding a feel-good recap of his week. The three-minute video posted on Wednesday is instead a montage of various Harper speeches over the past few months on national security.

The video shows the prime minister addressing the ISIL’s specific targeting of Canadians and Canada’s resolve to fight terrorist organizations. It shows footage of various Canadian military personnel doing their jobs in different locations, including fighter jets taking off and troops rappelling out of a helicopter. In addition to that, the video also included clippings of former sergeant-at-arms, Kevin Vickers, being lauded for his actions on the day of the Oct. 22 Ottawa shootings and Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, who was shot and killed at National War Memorial that day.

The video posted just two days before the government intends to unveil new anti-terror legislation quotes Harper mentioning in the Commons on Oct. 23 that “(ISIL) has specifically targeted Canada and Canadians, urging supporters to attack ‘disbelieving Canadians in any manner,’ vowing that we should not feel secure even in our homes.” According to an excerpt from his speech on the day of the shootings, prime minister could be seen saying that Canada will work with allies to “fight against the terrorist organizations who brutalize those in other countries with the hope of bringing their savagery to our shores. They will have no safe haven.”
