On Saturday, November 27, 2010, at 2:30 a.m., police received a call to attend at Wellington Street, east of Blue Jays Way.

Shortly after the previous news release was issued, Kim Allen Cacao, 20, of Toronto, contacted investigators and has since been cleared of any involvement in the homicide investigation.

The second Person of Interest still has not been identified. He is described as brown, slim build, 5’5"-5’8", with black hair.

Investigators are urging him to contact police immediately. Police believe this man was with the suspect at the time of the murder.

The Toronto Police Service has released security camera images of two Persons of Interest.

One Person of Interest has been identified as Kim Allen Cacao, 20, of Toronto.

The second Person of Interest has not been identified. He is described as brown, slim build, 5’5"-5’8", with black hair.

Investigators are urging both men to contact police immediately. Police believe both men were with the suspect at the time of the murder.

Naveen Ariaratnam, 26, no fixed address, is wanted for Second Degree Murder.

Police have released a photograph of the wanted man.

The suspect has lived in Toronto and St. Catharines.

Background:

On Saturday, November 27, 2010, at 2:30 a.m., police received a call to attend at Wellington Street, east of Blue Jays Way.

It is reported that: 

– the victim, with friends, was at the Rockwood Club, 31 Mercer Street, in the Entertainment District,

– an altercation took place inside the club and continued outside on the street,

– the suspect left the club in a vehicle described as a dark-grey, full size SUV similar to a Suburban or Denali,

– the suspect vehicle drove eastbound on Wellington Street West, before making a u-turn and then drove directly at the victim, who was with friends on the north sidewalk.

It is further reported that:

– the driver struck the victim and then continued southbound on Blue Jays Way.

The driver is described as brown, 19-25, thin build, with a moustache and a goatee. He was wearing a black jacket with stripes on the collar and sleeve.

There were three-to-five people inside the suspect vehicle at the time.

The victim has been identified as Vincent Dang, 20, of Concord.

The post-mortem examination is scheduled for Saturday, November 27, 2010.
