Arrests made in the Peel kidnapping case

Officers from 11 Division’s Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested two men and a woman in relation to an abduction, which took place on November 23, 2010.
 
On Tuesday, November 23, 2010, the victims, a male and a female couple, were abducted and taken to a Hamilton address, where they were held against their will for a period of time.
 
On Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the female victim was released by her abductors at Cawthra Road and Eastgate Parkway, in Mississauga. A short time later, the male victim was released at Hurontario Street and County Court Boulevard, in Brampton. Neither victim sustained any serious injuries.
 
The investigation, conducted by officers from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau, identified six suspects as being involved in this abduction. 
 
On Friday, November 26, 2010, the following individuals were arrested and charged in relation to this matter:
 
Yannik ROBINSON-EDWIN, a 20 year-old male and resident of Mississauga, has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence and Robbery.  
 
Krystal MCLAREN, a 19 year-old female and resident of Hamilton, has been charged with two counts of Forcible Confinement
 
Both suspects made an appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Saturday, November 27, 2010. 
 
On Tuesday, November 30, 2010, the following suspect was arrested and charged:
 
Branimir KUTLESA, a 20 year-old male and resident of Mississauga, has been charged with three counts of Robbery While Using a Firearm and three counts of Kidnapping While Using a Firearm
 
He was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. 
 
An additional three suspects have been identified and investigators are attempting to locate them. Arrest warrants for the following individuals have been obtained. 
 
Thomas Robert STEVENS, a 20 year-old resident of Guelph, is wanted on three counts of Kidnapping While Using a Firearm and three counts of Robbery While Using a Firearm
 
He is described as a white male, approximately 6’10” tall, weighing 250 lbs., with a heavy build and brown hair.

Benjamin Owusu BREFO, a 29 year-old male with no fixed address, is wanted on three counts of Kidnapping While Using a Firearm and three counts of Robbery While Using a Firearm
 
He is described as a black male, approximately 6’2” tall, weighing 190 lbs., with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

Justin ALEXANDER, a 20 year-old male with no fixed address, is wanted on three counts of Kidnapping While Using a Firearm and three counts of Robbery While Using a Firearm
 
He is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” tall, with a slim build, brown eyes and brown hair.

Police are urging all three suspects to consult with a lawyer and make arrangements to turn themselves in.
