Toronto man Douglas Thorne charged with a sexual assault on a minor

USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– a girl was enrolled in a home daycare on Glenburn Avenue

– a man in the home, who was not the daycare operator, sexually assaulted the girl between 2008 and 2011

– the girl was eight years old when the assaults started

On Wednesday, February 18, 2015, Sex Crimes – Child and Youth Advocacy Centre arrested the man.

Douglas Thorne, 65, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) four counts of Sexual Assault
2) four counts of Sexual Interference
3) four counts of Invitation to Sexual Touching

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, April 2, 2015, courtroom J.

Police believe there may be more victims.

The daycare later moved to Tucker Street, but is no longer operating.
