Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 16 year-old Mississauga teen. The teen, who has been diagnosed as moderately autistic, has police and family concerned for his safety.

On Saturday, December 4, 2010, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Robert CAPOVILLA was last seen at his residence on Dover Court. For some unknown reason, Robert left the residence without informing his parents. Investigators believe he attended a local restaurant in the area of Dundas Street West and Winston Churchill Blvd., at approximately 4:00 p.m. He has not been seen since.

Robert CAPOVILLA is described as a 16 year-old white male, 5’11” tall, weighing 220 lbs., with short dark hair and blue eyes. He may be wearing a ¾ length blue winter coat, with a fur trimmed hood, dark jeans and black running shoes.

Due to his medical condition, Robert has the mental capacity similar to an eight or nine year-old youth. As a result, Robert may become lost quite easily. For this reason, family, friends and police are concerned for his safety.

In addition, Robert is described as being very soft-spoken and will not initiate any conversations with strangers. However, if asked, he will recite his name, age, address and phone number.

UPDATE: Robert CAPOVILLA has been located.
