An investigation by the BC Integrated Child Exploitation unit and the Integrated Sexual Predator Observation Team, with assistance by the Langley RCMP, has resulted in child exploitation charges being laid against a 27-year-old Langley man who is known to police.

Sean MCINTYRE has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Breach of Recognizance.

Crown Counsel from the Surrey Crown’s office conducted a bail hearing for Sean McIntyre on February 19, 2015 and MCINTYRE has been ordered detained in custody until his trial, which has yet to be scheduled.

The Integrated Child Exploitation Unit remains committed to catching people who possess child pornography. Each time those illegal images are viewed a child is re-victimized, says Staff Sergeant Tyler SVENDSON, Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of the Behavioural Sciences Enforcement Group.

Staff Sergeant SVENDSON adds that the Integrated Child Exploitation unit has dedicated and very specialized investigators who are online actively hunting offenders who access and distribute images of child pornography.
