High speed car accident leaves 28 year old man dead in Toronto

On Sunday, December 5, 2010, at 4:19 a.m., police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Brimoton Drive, east of Bellamy Road.

It is reported that:

– a Pontiac Sunfire was travelling westbound on Brimorton Drive, at high speed, when the driver lost control of the vehicle as it approached a bend in the road,

– the vehicle struck a tree, then a hydro pole and a second tree, before coming to rest in a driveway.

The 28 year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a 27-year-old male passenger was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
