USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…A 25-year-old New Brunswick man has been charged with first degree murder, arson and break and enter in connection with the death of a woman in Peel on March 2, 2015.

Emergency crews were called to a fire at a home in Peel at about 4:45 a.m. on Monday morning. The home was completely engulfed in flames when crews arrived. The body of 52-year-old Phyllis Roy was discovered inside the burned home.

Shortly after the fire was reported, an RCMP officer arrested a man inside a church in nearby Wicklow for break and enter. That man was taken into custody and as the investigation continued throughout the day, it was determined the man was a suspect in connection with the fire.

On March 6, 2015, Ryan Ernest Roy appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court charged with the first degree murder of his mother Phyllis Roy, charged with arson and break and enter in the church.

He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to return to court on March 13, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.

The investigation is continuing.
