Ottawa Police Service is confirming that the suspicious death that occurred yesterday on Booth Street is a homicide. 

An autopsy conducted earlier today determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound. 

The Ottawa Police Major Crimes Section has now charged three adult males in connection with the city’s tenth homicide of the year. 

• Abdulhamid WEHBE, 20 years-old, of Ottawa is charged with second degree murder. 
• Zakaria DOURHNOU, 18 years-old of Ottawa is charged with Accessory after the Fact. 
• Khaled WEHBE, 19-years-old of Ottawa is charged with Accessory after the Fact. 

They will appear in court today. 

Background

The Ottawa Police Service responded to the scene of a suspicious incident in the 300 block of Booth Street on December 6, 2010. 

At 10:27 a.m., emergency services were called to respond to an unconscious man found outside. 

The man found on Booth Street has been pronounced dead at the hospital. The Ottawa Police Major Crime section is now investigating. 

The deceased youth found has been positively identified as Yazden GHIASVAND GHIASI, 16-years-old, of Ottawa.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed this morning.

The investigation is ongoing.
