Four gas stations robbed in one day in Vaughan

The York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending a suspect wanted in connection with four commercial robberies yesterday in the City of Vaughan.

On Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a male suspect entered the Esso gas bar located at 2268 Rutherford Road. The suspect demanded the victim open the cash register, while brandishing a knife. The suspect then fled with a quantity of money.

Later that day, at approximately 11 p.m., the male suspect entered the Petro Canada gas bar located at 21 Innovation Drive. The suspect demanded the victim open the cash register and physically assaulted him before a brief struggle ensued. The suspect then fled from the area empty handed.

At approximately 11:10 p.m., the male suspect entered the Sunoco gas bar located at 2 Vaughan Valley Boulevard. The suspect demanded the victim open the cash register, while brandishing a knife. The suspect then fled with a quantity of money.

The last incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m., when the male suspect entered the Petro Canada gas bar located at 9301 Highway 50. The suspect demanded the victim open the cash register, while brandishing a knife. The suspect then fled with a quantity of money.

There were no injuries as a result of any of these robberies.

The suspect is described as:

• Male, white, approximately 30 years
• 6’, heavy build, unshaven
• Wearing black track pants and a black toque
• Armed with a knife
