Mississauga –Officers from the 12 Division, Criminal Investigations Bureau became involved in an investigation of an aggravated assault which occurred on March 6, 2015.
At approximately 5:15 a.m., the victim and three accused parties were working at their place of employment, cleaning floors. An altercation took place between the victim and the three others, during which the three accused parties assaulted the victim with a compressed air hose, causing serious life threatening injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital. Attempts to locate the three accused parties were unsuccessful, resulting in warrants being issued.
On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, the three accused parties; Abhijeet Singh NAGRA and Prabhjeet SINGH, both 20 years of age from Brampton, and Dilsher SINGH, 21 years of age from Brampton, were arrested in Quebec, on the strength of the warrants. They were returned to Peel Region to face charges of Aggravated Assault in relation to this incident.
Over the course of several days, the victim’s condition continued to deteriorate, ultimately leading to his death, on March 18.
On March 30th, Abhijeet Singh NAGRA, Dilsher SINGH and Prabhjeet SINGH were advised of the increased charge of Manslaughter and held pending a bail hearing.
