Emin Mamedov charged for robbery in Toronto

On Thursday, December 9, 2010, police arrested a man in connection with a robbery investigation.

It is alleged that:

– on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at 5:50 p.m., a 53-year-old woman attended a bank in the Yonge Street/Finch Avenue West area,

– the woman withdrew a quantity of money from her account and placed it in her purse,

– outside the bank, a man then approached the woman from behind and took her purse,

– the man fled the scene on foot,

– an off-duty TPS officer observed the incident and arrested the man.

Emin Mamedov, 24, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Robbery,
2) Obstruct Peace Officer,
3) Fail to comply Recognizance.

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, December 10, 2010, room 306, at 10 a.m.
