86 year old man robbed during home invasion in Hamilton

Hamilton Police seek the assistance of the public with the investigation of an early morning robbery.

Today, at approximately 4:30 a.m., an 86 yr. old Ancaster man, residing on Elm Hill Blvd., woke up from his sleep to find two unknown men standing in his bedroom. One of the suspects grabbed the man and demanded he give him his money. The suspect let go of his hold on the victim and the two suspects fled the home in the victims’ vehicle. The victim was not physically harmed. Police believe this to be a random incident.

Hamilton Police were called and continued to investigate. At approximately 10:00 a.m., the stolen vehicle was recovered on a parking lot on Hamilton’s West Mountain and was seized for forensic examination.

The victim describes one of the suspects involved as being a white, male, approximately 23 yrs., medium build, 6’, wearing a black jacket with a hood, and dark pants. The victim was unable to describe the second male involved.
