Vancouver Police are issuing a public warning regarding a suspicious person after a man allegedly approached two Grade 2 students on the playground at Lord Kitchener Elementary School on December 7th.

Around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7th, two young boys were playing during their lunch break when a man walked up to them on the gravel school field and reached out towards them. The boys ran inside the school and the man left the area.

Vancouver Police learned of the incident on the afternoon of December 9th and began an investigation. At the same time, the school issued a notice to parents. The investigation is continuing and until more is known about the circumstances, the VPD is taking the precaution of issuing a public warning.

The man who approached the boys is described as white, 6`0" tall, with a slim build, short blonde hair, black clothing and wearing a black toque.
