At approximately 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, police received a 911 call from a home on Radcliffe Crescent N.E. indicating he had just heard several gunshots. While police were en route, a second 911 call was received from another resident stating that bullets had just been fired through his apartment.
When officers arrived, they confirmed four shots had struck the caller’s residence. One of the bullets entered a bedroom where a man was sleeping and missed his head by a few inches. No one was injured.
Following further investigation by District 4 GIU, one man was taken into custody on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 and interviewed. He was later released.
Another man was taken into custody on Monday, Dec.13, 2010 and interviewed by District 4 GIU. He is facing charges of uttering threats and breaching conditions.
This incident is believed to be targeted and is not considered gang-related. It is believed to be connected to an altercation between a group of males that occurred at approximately one hour prior at the Forest Lawn Community Centre. No weapon has been recovered and no charges have been laid in relation to the shooting.
