Four men charged for stabbing in Richmond Hill

Investigators working out of the #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged four suspects in connection with an early December stabbing in the Town of Richmond Hill.

The final suspect, a 16-year-old Toronto youth was charged on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, shortly after midnight, after he turned himself into the #2 District Headquarters in the Town of
Richmond Hill. He now faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon and Possession of Weapons for a Dangerous Purpose. He has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Youth Justice Court in Newmarket on Tuesday, December 14, 2010.

Investigators have also made three other arrests, all in connection with the stabbing. Jonathan FISHER, 18, and Tyrone BALLAH-JONES, 18, of Richmond Hill, have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on Tuesday, December 14 and Wednesday, December 15, 2010. A 16-year-old Richmond Hill youth was also previously arrested and has been released from custody, scheduled to appear before the Youth Justice Court on Thursday, December 23, 2010. All three of these suspects have been charged with one count of Aggravated Assault.

On Thursday, December 2, 2010, at approximately 4 p.m., the 17-year-old male victim was in the area of 16th Avenue and Berwick Crescent, when four males exited a vehicle and approached the victim, who was assaulted and stabbed. The victim was transported to hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries. The assault was originally thought to have occurred Red Maple Road and High Tech Road.
