Marco Thibault charged for drug trafficking in Edmundston, N.B

Marco Thibault, 39 years old, from the Saint-Quentin area, was sentenced to 40 months in jail on December 13, 2010 in Provincial Court in Edmundston.

Mr. Thibault was facing two counts of possession of ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of steroids for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking as well as various other charges in connection with a breach of an undertaking and an order related to firearms and ammunition.

These charges stem from two separate incidents, one in October 2009 in Edmundston and the second in December 2010 in the Saint-Quentin area. Mr. Thibault had already been convicted of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. He pleaded guilty to the other charges.
